Who We Are
About Our Apostolate
Faithful to Catholic Tradition. Dedicated to the sanctification and salvation of souls.
Our Identity
Faithful to Catholic Tradition
Catholic Fidelity of St. Pius X is a missionary Catholic apostolate dedicated to the preservation and transmission of the perennial Catholic Faith, the Traditional Latin Mass, the traditional Sacraments, and the sound doctrinal and moral teachings handed down by the Church.
We do not seek novelty. We seek fidelity. The Catholic Faith is not something that each generation reinvents. It is a sacred deposit received from Christ and entrusted to His Church, which must be faithfully preserved and handed on to succeeding generations.
Although our apostolate is based in Nigeria, we understand our mission in a truly missionary spirit — wherever there are Catholics sincerely seeking the fullness of the traditional Catholic Faith, we desire to be of service where Providence permits.
What We Do
Our Mission
In an age marked by profound doctrinal, liturgical, and moral confusion, we seek to provide Catholics with a firm foundation in the authentic Catholic Faith.
Preserve and promote the Traditional Latin Mass and traditional Sacraments.
Transmit the perennial Catholic Faith and the teachings of the authentic Magisterium.
Provide sound doctrinal, moral, and spiritual formation.
Form young men for the Catholic priesthood.
Welcome and assist priests who have embraced Catholic Tradition without reservation.
Provide Catholic education that forms both the intellect and the soul.
The Law of Prayer
Lex Orandi, Lex Credendi
The law of prayer is the law of belief.
We believe that the liturgy profoundly shapes the faith of the people. The Traditional Latin Mass therefore occupies a central place in our apostolate — not merely as a matter of preference or aesthetics, but because of its profound expression of Catholic doctrine, reverence, sacrifice, adoration, and the Catholic understanding of the Holy Eucharist and priesthood.
For this reason, our apostolate places particular emphasis on the Traditional Latin Mass, traditional Catholic spirituality, sound doctrine, Catholic moral teaching, and the proper formation of priests and faithful. The sanctification and salvation of souls remains our one supreme objective.
Our Heritage
Following the Footsteps of Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre
Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre recognized the grave importance of preserving the Catholic priesthood, the Traditional Latin Mass, the traditional Sacraments, and the perennial Catholic Faith. In 1970, he founded the Society of St. Pius X in order to form priests and preserve these treasures for the Church.
We seek to continue in his footsteps by making the treasures of Catholic Tradition available to priests, seminarians, families, young people, and all faithful Catholics who desire to remain firmly rooted in the Faith received from the Church.
